Questions

Where does the data come from?

Prices, market caps, volumes and supply figures come from CoinGecko. Candles, the order book and recent trades come from the public market data of Kraken or Coinbase for the coin's USD pair. The source is named under each chart.

Why does the chart price differ slightly from the list price?

The list shows CoinGecko's price, which combines many markets. The chart shows a single market's trades, so the two can differ by a small amount.

Why is there no chart for some coins?

Charts and order books are available when Kraken or Coinbase lists a USD market for the coin. For other coins the page still shows market figures from CoinGecko.

How often does the data refresh?

While a coin page is open, the latest price, order book and trades refresh every few seconds, and candles every 20 seconds to 5 minutes depending on the timeframe. Lists refresh about once a minute. Pull down on a list to refresh it yourself.

Can I buy or sell coins in the app?

No. XMDHSKE shows information only. It doesn't connect to any exchange account, place orders, or hold or transfer coins or money.

How do I log a holding?

Open the Holdings tab and tap +, or tap Log Holding on a coin's page. Enter the quantity, the price you paid per coin and the date. You can add several purchases for one coin; the app shows the average cost and the return at the current price.

I sold some coins. How do I update my holding?

Open the holding, tap a logged purchase and lower its quantity, or swipe left on a purchase to delete it. Sales and fees aren't tracked separately.

Can I show rising prices in red?

Yes. Go to Home, tap the gear icon, and change Candle Colors to Red Up.

How do I change chart indicators?

On a coin's chart, tap Indicators and switch MA, EMA, BOLL, VOL, MACD, RSI or KDJ on or off. Your choice is kept for the coin pages you open next.

Is my data backed up?

Holdings, the watchlist and settings are stored in the app on your device and aren't uploaded to us. They're included in your regular iPhone backup, and deleting the app removes them.
